While serving in the military, Anthony Kuhn created ComplxMinds, a startup company based out of the District of Columbia, that focused on graphic and web design in 1999.

The company quickly expanded to 3D modeling, film and animation support. During that time, the company quickly became well-known and recognized in the software development arena, partnering with other companies such as Adobe, Maxon 3D, Strata 3D, and ZBrush.

Seeing the benefits of the company's expertise and expanding service capabilities in the graphic design aspects,  ComplxMinds began the ComplexTimes online magazine whereas the company provided tutorials and 3D software reviews for a large variety of technologies and began rating the software on versatility, capability and user-friendly environments. This organic growth in the industry soon after began focusing on consulting services as a natural transition. 

Complxminds was one of the first leading-edge companies who provided interactive 3D visualizations in their web design for merchandise and products, allowing for potential customers to move, zoom and rotate products via the internet browsers before purchasing. This leading-edge web development concept in the late 1990s later became a common theme in today's web designs concepts.

After a successful 10 years in web and graphic design, the company took a short time to re-establish itself with a new vision and began looking at providing consultation services due to the expansive networks, experience and subject matter expertise of their core staff.
